Where are your before & afters?
Y’all ready for this (super long answer)?!!
Someday, I may add before & after photos here, since I love a good room makeover and images of pretty spaces.
But…I find that my sessions are as much - or more! - about the people and the process, as it is about the places and spaces I’m working on for / with my clients. Here’s what I mean:
Sometimes, I organize, declutter or refresh a single room in a session. Other times, I listen and support clients in decision-making or online or in-store shopping, or even helping a client shop for a new love seat, artwork or organizing supplies.
It’s not unusual for me to bop *all* over a client’s home or office (or both), or run to the paint store, tidy up this space and that, and get fourteen things checked off a wish list.
In most sessions, I do a variety of things to take my clients from overwhelm to relief, and to take their spaces from feeling chaotic to refreshingly, perfectly personalized. We can get oodles done in a session that makes clients breathe easier.
Sometimes it’s accomplished in one, photographable room. Sometimes (mostly!), it’s not.
Our homes aren’t made up of isolated rooms, after all. They’re a whole, lovely, connected puzzle of connected spaces (no matter how big or small our “home is). Which means, what we do in one room will often affect what’s needed in another room…often in the same session.
So, the “after” at the end of a session isn’t always the “stuff” that’s easily captured in a photo, because progress and relief - and that sweet feeling of getting unstuck! - doesn’t always fit into a simple snapshot. It’s much bigger than that. :)

Why should I work with Cakewalk instead of an organizer or interior designer?
I love this question! It helps me share how I’m different than straight-up home organizers or interior designers.
In the past, I’ve worked with both organizing and design companies and have loved both and have (easily) decided that BOTH are not for me.
Over the years pre-Cakewalk and through my first couple years of officially launching my dream biz, I’ve discovered that the details I love most include elements found in both organizing and interior design projects.
Turns out, though, I’m so much more excited about the ways - big, medium and small - that all the details of organizing and design connect.
I see organizing (decluttering and finding homes and systems for all of the things we love/like/use/want/need) AND design (decor, paint colors, room and furniture layouts, artwork displays) as very connected, and equally valuable and important, like two sides of a teeter totter. You heard me right. Teeter. Totter. ;)
Without each side (organization & design) doing their part and pulling their weight, the fun and function of a home or space may not be able to strike that dreamy balance of beauty (whatever that means to you) and function (also, whatever that means to you).
I enjoy both sides of home aesthetics and functionality SO much.
So, for space support and room refreshes - I’m your gal.
For moving walls and/or taking out walls or a full room remodel, I can recommend interior designers for your big, beautiful project.
If you JUST need organizing support, we can chat first — and if I’m not the right fit for you, I have my connections. ;)

You do home organizing, right?
Yes! And no! :) I totally enjoy organizing spaces big and small, so I’d LOVE to hear about your organizing projects, ideas or wish lists, but honestly, that’s just the start of what I do for my clients.
So if you want help organizing your room or rooms, hall closets or kitchen cupboards, office or wacky, wild piles. COUNT ME IN.
But that’s really just the beginning of what you can call on Cakewalk for.
Short answer: Yes!
Better answer: Yes, annnnd that’s not all I do. And I’m betting that’s not all you’d like support with. ;)

What will we be able to get done during a session?
It’s sometimes tricky for new clients to imagine what ALL we can do in a session, but the truth is, the sky is the limit with what we can accomplish from the get-go. We’ll get to talk about a lot of details during our initial consult, and I love answering detail-y questions, so ask away!
At the start of your session, we’ll do a walk-through or talk-through where you’ll do a brain-dump of anything on your wish list or your maybe-hopeful-wish list. If you’re not sure if I can help with a project or task, just ask.
I can help with a GALORE of projects big and tiny — for you, your home, small business and more!
Once we get started, you’ll see how fun, magical and productive a session can be. I tailor sessions to each client, and it’s YOUR time to get the support you never knew was here for you. I promise you, it is!

How many sessions should I schedule for my project?
Ooo, this is an “easy” one. The easy answer is it depends on what you want! The other easy answer is it’s totally your call.
Often, people start with one or two sessions and are ready to book their next one within a few weeks. It’s all about your project or projects you want to knock out together!
Yep, you get to schedule a session or more … as you wish!
You pick the pace of each session and the frequency of how often we meet, which can vary from 2-3x weekly to monthly to seasonally.
